How to find your necklace size
Whether you know your size and are seeking advice or if you are unsure where to begin, this guide will help you find the ideal necklace length.
The ideal necklace length differs for each individual. Follow the instructions below to fine your perfect necklace length.
Measure your exsisting necklace
You'll need:
A tape measure or ruler
A necklace you own
Option 1:
Measure Full Length
To measure the necklace, lay it flat and straight. Measure from one end of the clasp to the other and record the length.
Option 2:
Measure When Closed
With the necklace clasp closed, place it on a flat surface and measure its length from end to end. Then, double that measurement and write it down.
Measure with string
If you don’t have a necklace to use as reference, you can use a tape measure or a piece of string to find the perfect length.
You'll need:
Tape measure or ruler
String
Pen
Option 1:
Use Flexible Tape Measure
Place the flexible tape measure around your neck like a necklace. Adjust it to the desired length and note the measurement.
Option 2:
Use String
Place a piece of string around your neck like a necklace. Adjust it to the desired length and mark where the ends meet with a pen. Next, measure the string and note its length.
